The five pillars of the visual workplace, commonly referred to as the 5S
(Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) are designed to
help create a stable environment for implementing improvements in any
organization. In the 5S Workplace Organization and Visual Controls
training workshop, Participants will learn how the 5S’ become the foundation for achieving safety
improvements, cost reduction, zero defects, and getting back to the basics of an
organized work place.
This workshop will go beyond the typical discussions
of how the 5S apply to the factory and address the office area too. The
visual factory portion addresses the issue of keeping appropriate business
information posted and presented in a simple and logical manner.
