goal of this workshop is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills
to plan for performance, identify resources to support performance needs and
conduct effective performance appraisal meetings.

Objectives:
At the completion of this workshop, the participants
will:

the three phases of the performance management process: Planning,
Coaching and Evaluating

Use
a model to identify position specific key result areas

Create
objectives based on key result areas

Describe
the process of planning and conducting an effective performance appraisal
meeting

Demonstrate
effective behaviors during a performance appraisal skill practice
-
Describe
how to deal with difficult behaviors during the appraisal meeting
This
half-day workshop includes instructor presentation, individual and small group
exercises, a video on conducting the performance appraisal meeting, and a skill
practice for conducting the appraisal meeting using the organization’s
performance appraisal form.
