Performance Management Series - Instructional Skills Training

Train-the-Trainer Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to enable individuals with no prior training experience to be able to create and deliver structured classroom training and on-the-job training that conveys knowledge and develops job skills.  This program is typically conducted for individuals with technical or subject matter knowledge that will become internal trainers for their organizations.

 

Course Length: 8 hours

 

Instructional Setting: Classroom

 

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this workshop, participants will:

  • Explain the process of adult learning

  • Describe the major characteristics of adult learners

  • Create effective learning objectives

  • Describe the various types of instructional methods

  • Develop a training plan

  • Explain the four levels of training evaluation

This is a full day workshop and includes presentation of key concepts, small group exercises and the creation of training plans and class activities that internal trainers can use in designing future classes.
