Coaching Skills For Managers
The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with a practical method of working with direct reports to build skills or help them resolve performance problems. Participants learn a six step coaching process and apply the process in skill practices involving coaching scenarios drawn from the employer organization. The process is designed to help managers and supervisors focus on identifying specific areas for performance improvement and through dialogue with the employee, develop an action plan to address performance needs and monitor progress in meeting performance needs.
Course Objectives:
At
the completion of this one day workshop, participants will:
-
Examine
why coaching is a critical leadership skill
-

This workshop can be conducted on a half-day or full day basis. Skill practices are customized to reflect typical performance situations facing supervisors in the organization.
