Conflict Resolution Skills for HR Generalists
The goal of this half-day program is
to provide new HR Generalists with skills to effectively respond to and resolve
conflicts between individuals, managers and groups by demonstrating effective
conflict resolution and decision making skills.
At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Explain
how HR Generalists can demonstrate the fundamental principles of effective
employee relations through their daily actions

Describe
the different roles HR Generalists play during conflict resolution including
fact finder, mediator/facilitator, arbitrator and presenter of company’s
position

Explain
the process of gathering and documenting the facts surrounding the conflict
-
Identify
the intervention and conflict resolution strategies that can be used
-
Develop
effective responses to negative reactions and emotions during the conflict
resolution process
The workshop includes case studies
based on examples drawn from typical situations facing new Human Resources professionals.
Participants will have the opportunity to interview individuals playing
the role of manager and employee in skill practices and determine what action
needs to be taken to resolve the conflict presented.
