This
workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the various
strategies for resolving conflict, how to use the strategies to effectively
resolve conflict and how to plan for and conduct a conflict resolution meeting.
Course
Objectives:
At
the completion of this workshop, participants will:

their preferred individual conflict management strategy

Explain
the five strategies for handling conflicts

Describe
when to use each strategy

Apply
the five conflict management strategies to typical situations faced at work

Discuss
how to deal with third party conflicts

Explain
how to control emotions during a conflict

Use
a model to collaboratively resolve conflict
This
half-day workshop includes the use of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Strategies
Inventory, a conflict strategy self-assessment, explanation of the five conflict
strategies, application of strategies to case studies drawn from the
organization, and a skill practice in which participants apply strategies to
resolve a conflict.
