Dealing with Difficult People (4 hour course)

Participants in this course will understand why disruptive behaviors occur in others, how to develop increased assertiveness in dealing with others, the steps involved in responding to difficult behaviors in the workplace and how to respond to six types of difficult behaviors patterns.

Topics include:

  • Understanding the spectrum of assertiveness  -from unassertive to aggressive behavior

  • Using a six step model to respond assertively when giving feedback

  • The coping strategies for dealing with difficult behaviors

  • Dealing with your emotions

  • Effectively dealing with six difficult behavior types

The program includes a video and exercises to demonstrate effective strategies for dealing with difficult behaviors.
