Performance Management Series -  DISC Skills Training 

DISC - Understanding Differences in Communications Styles

Course Length: 4 Hours (Typical)

Instructional Setting: Classroom

This segment will provide participants with an understanding of how individual behavioral tendencies affect others.  Through the use of the DISC Profile System, participants will learn how four behavioral types:  Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness, effect relationships at work. 

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this half-day workshop, participants will:

Self-assess their behavioral style using the DISC Instrument

Learn the strengths each DISC style brings to a group

Learn how to identify the DISC styles of others

Develop ways to effectively work with co-workers and others with differing styles and increase effectiveness through new ways to communicating 

Participants will view a video that illustrates problems in interpersonal interactions in a variety of settings and learn how the problems can be resolved by adapting to different behavioral styles.  Participants will view a video case study and determine how best to resolve a conflict using DISC style strategy.
