and effectively develop a presentation

Question and Answer Session
The workshop is
highly interactive and includes three videotaped presentations made by
each participant during the course of the two day workshop. After each
presentation, participants will receive feedback and they will also be
able to view their presentations on their individual DVD in between
class sessions. For the final presentation, participants will receive a
two page written evaluation with feedback on strengths and suggestions
for further development.
The workshop
emphasizes the behavioral aspects of presentations and concentrates on
those techniques that will enable presenters to project an appearance of
confidence, ease and credibility when presenting information or
conducting briefings.
Participants will
learn how to identify objectives for their presentation, analyze the
needs of the audience, create a preliminary plan to develop the
presentation, select appropriate materials for use in the presentation,
design slides effectively, organize the presentation materials and
practice in order to gain confidence in presenting.
Techniques for
overcoming anxiety and self management will be discussed at length. The
art of the Handling the Question and Answer session will be reviewed
along with how to deal with challenging questions and challenging
questioners.
Each participant
will receive a copy of the book, “Loud and Clear – How to Prepare and
Deliver Effective Business and Technical Presentations” by Morrisey,
Sechrist and Warman.
